Julia Panas is not an artist. She’s an architect who takes an organizational and analytical approach to her creative works. Her projects are puzzles, personal challenges to communicate experiences into words and fabric in a structurally effective way.
Born and raised in NYC as a child of immigrants, Julia’s inspiration draws beyond the jungle to new planes of time and culture, informed by her Polish heritage, global travels, and love of local anthropology. Her love of design began in high school, where she was the Director of Costumes for six productions. She’s always loved creative writing.
Professionally, she's acquired four years of experience in the luxury fashion and marketing industries. She also sits on the Runway of Dreams Associate Board, an organization that aims to empower people with disabilities through fashion inclusion. She pioneered the first Runway of Dreams Gallery Exhibit, which will be featured in the upcoming documentary.
Academically, she studies International Business at Baruch College, where she inaugurated the International Business Club. She previously studied Fashion Design for two years, including a term abroad working in the Paris fashion industry. She returned to France in 2024, where she spent a year studying in French at Jean Moulin (Lyon III).
Externally, she’s passionate about gastronomy (particularly cultural fusions), travel (she counts her flights every year), sustainability (she owns nothing from Shein), fitness (especially if she can do it in heels), language (she's working on her fourth), and reading (historical fiction, memoirs, and anything in Italian).
